Summer 2010

I was delighted to be asked to make a portrait of Tib by his family to celebrate his 70th birthday.  It was to be a surprise for him so we looked through a variety of photographs and I chose a pose which I thought would work well. Then, I surrounded Tib with his 'favourite things' - sweets, whisky, images of  homes, holidays, places which have special meaning and people who are important.  I was especially pleased to find a chocolate called Sweet Marie, which is Tib's wife's name, and used the wrapper. (You can see it on right, near the bottom). The portrait was presented to Tib by all the family at a big birthday party.
